Abbot Ale
Greene King
Tasting Notes
Warming, Malty and Fruity. Pale and amber malts contribute to a mouth filling and satisfying 'Horlicks' and biscuity maltiness. Challenger and First Gold give a base note of herbal hop and Fuggle as a late hop contributes the main fragrant fruity and floral and spicy notes.
Sussex Gold
Arundel Brewery in Arundel
Arundel Brewery has been operating since 1992 – Sussex Gold at 4.2% is a great ale. We try to have it on our pumps a few times a year.
Tasting Notes
Sussex Gold is a rich golden beer with a hoppy, citrus finish. Very smooth, light and refreshing.
Hophead
Dark Star in West Sussex
Hophead at 3.8% is one of our most popular beers and has a huge following across the south coast and I am sure even much further.
Tasting Notes
Hophead is a pale golden colour, cool crisp and refreshing with a slight hoppy bitterness. Many of our customers who drink it say that they seem to get drunk drinking this as opposed to drinking some of the stronger beers. That's because it's too 'moreish' and they always end up drinking more than they realise!
From time to time, in addition to Hophead, we will also be serving other Ales from Dark Star's excellent range.
